DALLAS, May 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) released its 2010 Corporate Citizenship Report today.  

Posted on the company's website, TI's fifth annual citizenship report meets requirements for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) self-assessed Application Level A. GRI is one of the world's most widely used frameworks for sustainability reporting.

Highlights in the report include:

• Opening of Kilby Labs India to drive innovations in energy efficiency, bio-electronics and life sciences;
• 24 percent reduction in the amount of energy required to design, market and manufacture a semiconductor;
• 20 percent reduction in the amount of water required to design, market and manufacture a semiconductor;
• 95 percent of the company's total waste recycled;
• $28.2 million in cash and in-kind donations for education, cultural and community initiatives; and
• Naming to Working Mother Magazine's Hall of Fame.
